Dr. Mohammed S. Alo recently held a weight loss seminar for the Toledo Muslim community. The 3 hour long workshop focused on all aspects of weight loss, from the basics on obesity, all about diets, to nutritional needs, all the way to exercise.

Dr. Alo explained why most diets don't work and what you can do to make sure your diet works for you. He explained the physiology behind the human body and how you can use that to your advantage.

Dr. Alo also explained why women have a harder time losing weight than men and explained how you can over come that disadvantage. He also discussed what happens to our bodies as we get older and what happens if you don't lose weight.

"We aren't trying to lose weight so we can have a six pack and look good. Yes, that will happen, but we are trying to lose weight for our health," said Dr. Alo.
